18-10-2017

The new Barley village website has been launched.
The website, which can now be viewed easily on mobiles, tablets and PCs, has a fresh new look and features information about clubs, societies, facilities and services. There is a news page and an events calendar.
The project has been managed by a working committee overseen by Barley Parish Council, which is responsible for the upkeep of the website. The Council will use it to update residents on news and developments.

However, contributions for all areas of the website are welcome as the idea is to give an online platform for residents, clubs, societies and key village services to use.
If you would like information to be added to the website, including news stories and events listings, please contact Peter McPartland by email to: thebarleywebsite@gmail.com.
We would love to know your thoughts and welcome feedback from you. We plan to continue developing the website so it remains relevant and helpful for villagers, so please fill in our feedback survey. It should only take five minutes.

The first review of the Barley Parish Plan, which was first produced in 2015, has been published by the Parish Council.
The Council asked for volunteers to form a committee for this process.
The Committee has reviewed what has happened over the last five years and how the previously identified village aspirations have been met.
In tandem with the first review, the Committee compiled a new questionnaire to canvas the current views of villagers over a range of key topics, to allow the plan to be updated and to remain relevant.
Visit the Barley Village Plan page to read the full review.

If you would like to add a club, society, news story, event or anything else to the website, please contact Clare Edwards on thebarleywebsite@gmail.com.
