barley-knitting-group

Knit Barley  is a collection of knitters of varying abilities who meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month (except the 4th Wednesday in December) at The Chequers from 7pm.

The group started in 2014 with the intention of bringing local knitters together in a social setting. We have knitters new and old, from near and far and across a wide age range. Knitting in a group setting can be just the ticket to build your confidence by asking others or taking on a new project you wouldn't have tried by yourself. We are also happy to teach beginners, and advice is freely requested and given within the group. We have expanded the group to include those who enjoy crocheting or other crafts.

A couple of times a year we will have a group meal at the pub, and we sometimes visit local yarn and craft events together too.

There is no membership or meeting fee, all we ask is that you purchase a drink during your time at the meeting as The Chequers does not charge us for using the tables.
