Tennis
The site on which to make your on-line bookings is at the
following address (this is available to members only who will need
their 'user-name' and password to gain
access):-
www.barleytennisclub.co.uk

I will be creating a
more full description of the courts, their history, how to become a
member and everything else but, at this stage, please accept this
rather scruffy page; it's the best I can do within the time
available!
We now have a facility
of two tennis courts to be used throughout day light hours in the
centre of Barley (The Plaistow!).
|
An Application
form for membership is at the bottom of this
page!!!
|
You do NOT have to be a member of
the club to play but membership will bring
advantages:-
 |
Members can
pre-book a court a few days in advance (up to 1
week). |
 |
Members have
their own key to the courts whereas, non-members will need to
arrange via the 'club' to get hold of a key for a single use.
|
 |
Members can play
their games/matches for no extra charge whereas there will be a
charge per game/hour for non-members. The charge will be £3 per
hour for non-members
. |
 |
Members will be
able to play in 'club' games and may be selected to play
against other clubs if they
wish. |
 |
Members will be
kept up to date with plans, changes and news via
Email |
 |
Members can
control who is running the clubs and thus the courts by the
usual club/society/association
rules |
 |
Members will be
able to benefit from any discounts negotiated by the club for
sports items from local
suppliers. |

A Family (one household) subscription is £35
per year and that runs for 365 days from the date of your payment so
you can join at any stage during the year with no
disadvantages
We offer a 3 year 'family' membership at the reduced rate of
£75, if you prefer.
There is a further reduced rate of £15 for annual membership
for those under 17 years of age: however, this is for a single, 'named'
player and is specifically for those where no 'senior' members of the
'family' wish to play.
Ideally,
fill the form out in Microsoft Word and then print it and post it to us
with your cheque.
Once you
have 'joined', you will need to print and sign the Terms and Conditions
document (below). This needs to be handed to Ian who will then give you
your Key and explain the unlocking/locking process and how to use the
'On-Line' booking system.
Both of
these stages (Application form and signing the 'Terms and Conditions')
can be done at the same time and 'in person', if you prefer.
