Town-House

The Group was started a while ago by a Mr. Rolf Carter. When he moved to Barley he was concerned to find that the Barley men had the Pub in which to socialise, but  apart from the W.I. in Royston, the Barley women had nowhere to meet, so he founded the Over Sixties. Over the years it has evolved into the Barley Community Group and is open to all.

Our programme of events is very varied, and can be seen on the village notice board in the High Street. We start the year with a New Year's Tea Party and this is followed during the year by speakers, outings, quiz and games afternoons, bring and buy sales, demonstrations and more.

We meet every other Thursday afternoon in the Town House and welcome new members and visitors. Membership costs just £15 a year and £3 for visitors.
