This library has been set up in the old telephone box by the Parish Council for the benefit of the residents of Barley. Use of the library is completely free and the idea is that anybody can bring a book and take one. By all means bring the book back and take another, or just bring a different book.

The spirit of the library is that you leave a book you have read and enjoyed. It should not be used as repository for old books that you don't want. There is a box on the floor for children's books, which should be used in the same way.

There is a notice board on which you could, for instance, leave a request for a specific book. Please do everything to leave the library tidy.
