A selection of amateur photographs are shown
below to show the Town House in full use and empty of people.
We hope this gives a flavour of what you can do with our fine old building:-
| The Town House stands in the centre
of the village, directly opposite from our church in a quiet road. To
the rear of the building is a car park with open playing fields behind
that. The road is very quiet and many wedding photographs are taken with
the photographer safely standing on the road with the guests to set
against the back drop of the Town House. For the more 'formal '
photographs, our old church is directly opposite providing similarly
attractive back-drops. The two external
stair cases make an ideal 'frame' for photographs with the building
appearing to 'wrap around' the small 'court yard' to the front of the
building. Being a very old building, it was built to 'human scale' and
it does not 'dwarf' people unlike some larger, more impersonal
buildings. You feel a part of the building, not just and 'ant' passing
through.

Many events make use of both floors of the town
house and the hirers often choose to decorate the staircase as seen
here. The building has three entrances, the 'main entrance' is to the
rear which leads into this entrance lobby.

| This wide-angle photograph shows the
many exposed beams and high ceiling of the Main Hall on the first floor.
We have a large collection of matching tables and chairs available to
the hirer. These hirers chose to arrange these tables into units of
about 10 to 12 people leaving plenty of space between each but the long,
open area allows the hirer to 'pack in' many more guests, if required.

Many weddings occur in the 'Undercroft'
and its quite superb old beams make the perfect setting for a fun and
meaningful day. As you can see, it's a 'warm' and 'friendly' space
offering an intimate atmosphere.

| The first floor Kitchen is large
enough to prepare almost any meal for the number of guest which can be
accommodated. Some people choose to do their own catering but others
call in professional services. The large, stainless steel units and work
surfaces, 'industrial sized' cooker and ample refrigerator make this a
practical, useable space. It can be 'shut off' from the main hall with
double doors and it can be accessed without disturbing the proceedings
in the Main Hall via it's own access to the main staircase.

The main hall has a high ceiling with
low and attractive beams. The tables can be arranged in many ways to
accommodate more people or to keep that open and spacious feeling.
Again, many guests choose to decorate our beams as you can see in the
photos (Click the

| The Ground Floor 'Committee' room is
the smallest space available. Many 'parties' choose to use this for a
Bar or for teas/coffees so that these can be prepared and while the rest
of the rooms are being used. The Town House has a license to serve
alcohol on both floors. Please make arrangements with the booking
secretary should you wish to serve alcohol. Directly to the rear of this
room is the smaller, ground floor kitchen. This room can be accessed
from the main 'Undercroft' but this Committee Room, too, can be accessed
directly from the outside without the need to disturb events occurring
in the Undercroft or any any other part of the building
